New Book

We like new books around here :-) That gentleman and scholar Trywalker very kindly brought me a gift back from his recent trip to London: "The Price Of Everything" by Russell Roberts, replete with a touching inscritption from our young star.
I am thoroughly looking forward to reading it so that it will "change my life - reading it will give me a sense of wonder about the everyday marvels that are all around me." Check back soon for the verdict...
A parable of possibility and prosperity (and, apparently, alliteration)

@Trywalker - sounds promising, although you never know who gave those ratings and how old they are.

Now, if someone would just invent an innovative online resource allowing anyone to consult global opinion on... I'll be right back.

Why does the phrase "grasping at straws" come to mind? ..... still worth a go I suppose ......

@DP - I'm an optimist DP. The way I look at it is, if the worst comes to worst at least you have hadful of straw and therefore a bed for the night (for a very small horse).

At the age of 50, the buzz around ANY new book is unfortunately only slightly more than that for any new artist's CD release.

Sad but true.

@trywalker - your next brilliant idea is just around the corner, I have no doubt... otherwise, you can always invest in mine ;-)

@laog - I shrink in the shadow of your wisdom. I'm still learning and usually find even a little bit of value or perspective in any non-fiction I get the time to read. Still learning to write too... ;-)
