It's Catching

TB made a schoolboy error on his first night in town - going for a quick beer with VB after work.

Now, bear in mind that he came straight into the office on Monday morning after touching down on a 28 hour flight from Sydney, so at 3am after an extended night out on the town, "bleary-eyed" probably doesn't quite cover it. However, it's still something of a mystery how he came to wake up after somnambulating into the kitchen of the Holiday Inn. Looking for his wallet. Perhaps this is a metaphor for his Whale...who knows?

What's weird is that a while back, VB had an even stranger nocturnal episode, not long after arriving from Sydney himself. That mystery, worthy of a post all of its own (I'll come back to that one ;-), remains unsatisfactorily unresolved.

Let's assume both jetlag and copious amounts of alcohol played contributing factors in both cases...

Holiday Inn kitchen? That's funny!

I think jet travel does that to ya.

The one time our No. 1 son sleepwalked was on a flight to New Zealand. He was so hyped up and tired with all the travelling that when he did fall asleep, his body didn't. Other Half and I knew nothing about his mile-high somnambulism until a steward brought him back, still asleep on his feet, and said he'd found him in first class!

Delusions of grandeur, that boy. LOL!

V funny! Apparently, TB must have gone to his room first, since he had left his keycard there...he remembers having a dream about losing his wallet, and the next thing he knows, the night porter is asking him what he is doing in the kitchen! :-)

No.1 son obviously has an in-built, natural luxury radar... I hope he smuggled back some of that free champagne they serve in first ;-)

I must try that somnambulating "into first class" ruse.If only I had a long haul trip planned soon... Jay's number one son certainly didn't mess about with his first somnamming attempt. Makes you wonder what came next, a sleepwalked heist of the Pink Panther? ;)

As for TB, what can I say, Aussies never could take their lemonade.

You must fill us in on VB's episode soon. If its too scary or weird I am not coming back unless you get his desk moved :)

p.s. I will post the story of VB's unexplained wanderings, UDH Boy, on the condition you tell me the story of FVJ, Trywalker and The Fan... ;-)
