More votes for everyone!

So we have a new government, a coalition of the willing if you like, which is nice. Mr Cameron & Mr Clegg seem to be getting on awfully well, making speeches and compromises and promises of change and reform. Let's see how long it lasts.

It seems first-past-the-post doesn't necessarily deliver the ideal verdict but apparently there's a new way of voting just around the corner:- it will be slick, simple and much, much fairer.

Naturally, I’m not referring to PR, AV, AV+, STV, STDs or any kind of boring political reform. No, I’m much more excited about the incredible voting and ranking system that beats in Dennis’ heart, that our friendly Alpha Testers have been putting through its paces over the last 6 weeks or so.

Lots of brilliant feedback has led to lots of tweaking both small and large, and after (at the exact time of writing) 18,911 votes, 2,219 ratings and 616 reviews, we’re now very close to opening the doors to the wider world. Drop by soon at...

Incidentally, in The Top 100 Dinner Guests, Nick Clegg sits at #35 and David Cameron at #40, with Oz Clarke, Spike Milligan, Vic Reeves and Jamie Oliver nestling between them. Not much of a cabinet perhaps, but I suspect it would make a lively evening…
