Phriday Photo XLIII

England's footballers seem unstoppable at the moment (let's not mention cricket at the moment, shall we?), with Wayne Rooney in a particularly strong vein of form. I suspect it's only a matter of time before opposing teams resort to questionable tactics to prevent him scoring goals...

Dangerous tackle...or tackle in danger?

Overpaid professional footballers can't even get a game of leapfrog right. Tsk.

@DP - Apparently. Some people find it entertaining, even though it isn't. Odd, eh?

@UDH Boy - Can't think for the life of me where I last witnessed such dreadful incompetence. No, wait....

@laog - "..and I want to see you all over him like a rash."

Hahaha! Well at least, for the guy in red's sake, Mr Blue wasn't wearing a nasty hard helmet with face-guardy bits sticking out all over, so he had a nice soft landing. *Sniggers*

Come on ... Can you please give the names of the last 3 oppositions, mate? They are almost in the same class with San Marino.. !
Overpaid and Overvalued English Football.. which is also the reason why you are successful in club teams ( imported players) and despite having 75% chance each year to bring the CL Trophy to UK and it is only 2 out of 4 so far ..
when was the last time England played Semi Finals in European or World Cup as national team ? :) lol..

@Jay - Unless of course the chap in blue was wearing dental braces.....

@70s - Or any other ball game, for that matter :)

@Trywalker - You are of course quite right. But since you asked (and changed the subject), England last reached the World Cup Final in 2007 but lost to South Africa after Mark Cueto was denied a perfectly good try. What?

the thin line between calling it football or football.. nice try .. ooppps.. that s a term as well, rite ? :)

@trywalker - I'm impressed - you made a joke based on synonyms, which is is the foundation of all British humour... there's hope for you yet :-)
